“This book will not only touch you, it will make you feel grateful for what you have.”

About Nương Wright
Nương was born in Việt Nam. She met Bob, who had come to Việt Nam to work with the New Zealand Red Cross. They married, and in 1972, Nương moved to New Zealand. She graduated as a physiotherapist in 1975 – a year that also marked a turning point in Việt Nam's history.
Due to the economic hardship caused by decades of war, Nương’s Parents and sister later came to Christchurch under her and Bob’s sponsorship.
Nương worked as a physiotherapist in both the public and private sectors – including running her own clinic — for 38 years. With support from the NZ-VN Health Trust, she made several return trips to Việt Nam to help update physiotherapy standards at the Rehabilitation Center where she had worked in the 1970s.
In the 1980s, Nương was also an active member of the Vietnamese Association, supporting refugee resettlement efforts in New Zealand.
Nương resides in Christchurch and continues to play an active part in her community.
